I take pictures since I was very young, but it was when I was twelve that, thanks to a friend, I discovered SLR cameras. After that I become almost addicted to taking pictures and I spent complete weekends in the dark room trying to achieve that quality you could see in books. But one day something happened; I was waiting for a print to be developed under the red light and while looking at the image slowly appearing I realized it was a very special image. It was the picture of a sunflower with fantastic detail, shadows and lights both in the right amount...simply perfect.
I have lived in several places and always have had my own dark room but few years a go I started with digital. Digital is nice but not the same as holding in your hands a mechanical gear. I still take pictures with 50 years old cameras that I repair myself and while doing it you can revive what photography meant at that time...
